Magical Vermont Winter Wedding | November 18th, 2024
Ian and Hannah hosted a magical Vermont winter wedding at Mountain Top Resort in mid-November. Surrounded by their immediately family and an intimate group of friends, the pair wed on their eight year anniversary. Their wedding was a celebration of everything unique about their relationship--with nature-inspired decor and even a fantasy portrait session before their ceremony. The day was a true reflection of who they are, with each moment of the day filled with intention, love, and excitement for the future.
Magical Vermont Winter Wedding | The Story
Ian and Hannah began their day at one of the houses owned by the resort, surrounded by their friends and family while they got ready for the day. Hannah got her hair and makeup done by Ian's sister, while Ian and friends hung out and ate snacks while excitement for the ceremony grew.
Hannah looked stunning in a thrifted wedding dress, found at Dirt Chic in Burlington and altered by Anna Côté-Wurzler of La Vie En Rose Bridal Alterations. Ian looked equally handsome in a suit and accessories that he handmade himself--he even made a cape in place of a veil for Hannah to wear down the aisle! The couple wanted magical portraits, and made that even more special with their own fantasy portraits in the woods on the property--complete with a sword and ancient tome.
The ceremony took place in the Loft of the Reception Barn, where a circular arch made of conifer and evergreen branches, with candlelight lanterns down the aisle. The couple read beautiful heartfelt vows witnessed by their family and friends, with lots of laughter and happy tears. After the ceremony, the couple and I headed out for some blue hour just married portraits, with lanterns lighting the way.
The reception was beautiful and intimate, with nature-inspired decor thrifted and set up by the newlyweds. The couple surprised their guests with handwritten letters and custom made DnD dice as thank you gifts for supporting their relationship over the last eight years. The night continued with emotional speeches from their best man, maid of honor, and groom's sister--with lots of happy tears shed by all. The evening concluded with incredible dancing and fun, and a bathroom selfie!
Congratulations, Ian and Hannah, on your beautiful Vermont winter wedding. Wishing you both many years of happiness and joy!
