Colorful Vermont Stick Season Wedding | October 28th, 2023
Beth and Justin soaked up the golden rays of the end of October celebrating their love with a colorful, energetic, Stick Season wedding celebration in the mountains of Vermont. The two planned a fun and personal fall wedding nestled at the base of the mountains in Vermont at Bolton Valley Resort. Every moment of their day was filled with personal touches - from their painted nails and fun jewelry, to their terracotta and pink color palette, to the wildflower seed packets from Justin's mother's garden. The two opted to see each other for the first time as Beth walked down the aisle - with Justin bursting into tears as he stood beside his two daughters at the arbor. Their collection of family, friends, and gym buddies were filled with love and warmth for this couple as they sealed the deal with a passionate golden-hour kiss.
The Venue : The Ponds at Bolton Valley | Bolton, Vermont
Conveniently located 30 minutes away from Burlington, The Ponds at Bolton Valley - located in Bolton, Vermont - is one of my favorite Vermont wedding venues. The Ponds create a beautiful backdrop, perfect in every season from Spring to late Fall. Take your wedding photos on the floating dock just down the stone steps from the ceremony spot, or take a leisurely walk around the pond and soak in the bliss of that "Just Married" feeling. The Timberline Lodge is the perfect reception location, balancing rustic elegance with ease. The cathedral ceilings in the center of the room give a dramatic flair, paired with the rustic and towering fireplace as the perfect backdrop for your sweetheart table. The venue also offers lodging available just up the road at Bolton Valley Resort, with beautiful rooms to get ready and relax in.
Colorful Vermont Stick Season Wedding | The Story
Beth and Justin both prepared for their wedding day on site at Bolton Valley Resort, with views of the ski slopes visible from their room's balcony. Beth spent the morning with her mom, Justin's mom, and her girls as they got their hair and makeup done. Beth's hair featured beautiful braids and intricate flowers tucked amongst them. Justin was hanging with his friends and relaxing before officially donning his terracotta suit and floral tie to prepare for the ceremony. Beth and Justin then headed down to the Ponds, just down the street from the resort to wait for their guests to arrive. Dramatic and vibrant florals donned the arbor, and cones of flower petals were set on a table for guests to toss at the end of the ceremony. When Beth walked down the aisle and Justin saw her for the first time - he burst into tears, filled with emotion. After the ceremony was completed, the family hung out at the docks for some group photos before Beth and Justin ran off for a walk around the pond together for bridal portraits. Justin even celebrated with an impromptu heel-kick!
Guests were in love with the unique decor at the reception - from beautiful floral centerpieces and dynamic tablecards, to wildflower seed packets from the garden of Justin's mother. It was a truly stunning Vermont stick season wedding.
After dinner and speeches, guests danced the night away to fun tunes and took photos using fun props at the photobooth. Later in the evening, I brought Beth and Justin outside for some portraits under the full moon!
When we returned, we were treated to a delicious spread of cake from Red Poppy Cakery (also decorated with wildflowers), and late night food to keep the party going. A perfect way to end the evening!
Congratulations, you two on your stunning Vermont stick season wedding. I wish you so much happiness and love for the many years ahead!
