Intimate Spring Wedding at White Doe Farm | June 7th, 2025
Madison + Kody embraced the beauty of Spring in Vermont by celebrating their love with a intimate family wedding at White Doe Farm in Rupert, Vermont. The couple planned a day filled with personal touches, from a veil that was made from from the groom's late aunt's wedding dress to a mother and daughter dance to honor her single mother's sacrifices and friendship with her daughter. Their day was a true reflection of their personalities, filled with many happy tears, so much joy, and one of the most beautiful sunsets I've ever seen.
The Venue: White Doe Farm | Rupert, Vermont
Located just outside of Dorset and within 30 minutes of Manchester, Vermont, White Doe Farm is one of my favorite wedding venues in Vermont for intimate celebrations. A homestead turned into private rental, this location has a reception barn, three different ceremony locations, and a venue coordinator for every event. The venue offers picturesque spots for photos, like the apple orchard next to the pond behind the main house, and the upper pasture for picture-perfect sunsets. The reception barn is ideal for celebrating with an intimate group of loved ones, providing a perfect blend of rustic and elegant atmosphere.
Intimate Spring Wedding at White Doe Farm | The Story
Madison and Kody began their day at the main house, surrounded by their family and friends as they got ready in separate spaces. Madison did her own makeup with her two best friends, and looked stunning in an elegant off-shoulder dress with family heirlooms of a veil, earrings and pearls. Kody was equally dapper in a navy blue suit, standing out from their guest's all-black themed attire.
The ceremony took place in the back yard of the property next to the pond, where Kody cried while seeing Madison for the first time when she walked down the aisle. After the ceremony, the couple enjoyed a joyus celebration with their family and friends, exchanging hugs, sharing laughter and tears, and spending quality time with the people they love most. We snuck away to the apple orchard for some just married portraits before they returned to their celebration for the rest of cocktail hour.
The reception was a feast for the senses, with DIY decor styled by the bride, "polar bear shots" prepared by the groom to honor their Canadian heritage, and lots of beautiful shades of black, white and blue. Guests loved the emotional speeches, fun dances, and especially the bride and her mother's dance to the theme song from "Gilmore Girls." Madison and Kody ended the evening with a stunning sunset portrait session in the upper pasture, the sky alight with color from the recent wildfire smoke.
Congratulations Madison + Kody on your beautiful Vermont wedding. Wishing you endless happiness and love in your journey together!
