Sustainable Summer Sleepy Hollow InnWedding | June 21st, 2025
Bailey and Caleb honored the start of Summer by celebrating their love on the summer solstice with a colorful and sustainable wedding at Sleepy Hollow Inn in Huntington, Vermont. The couple planned a day filled with personal touches, from a hand-built arbor with trees from their parents land to contra dancing during the reception. Their day was a true reflection of their personalities, with values placed on a stress-free experience, relaxed atmosphere, and their favorite foods: pizza and Ben & Jerry's.
The Venue: Sleepy Hollow Inn | Huntington, Vermont
Located within 30 minutes of Burlington, Vermont, Sleepy Hollow Inn is one of my favorite wedding venues in Vermont. It's the perfect spot for outdoorsy folks who love sustainability, intimacy, and unique spaces. Their pondside ceremony location is beautiful, with their nearby covered pavilion as a beautiful backup space and cocktail hour area. Their unique two-tier round barn is wonderful for receptions, with ample room for dancing and tables for dinner service. The venue offers picturesque spots for photos, like their hiking trails, the pond, and swing.
Sustainable Summer Sleepy Hollow InnWedding | The Story
Bailey and Caleb began their day relaxing at the Sleepy Hollow Inn, getting ready with their respective wedding party members. Bailey was even finishing up knitting a pair of socks for Caleb to wear down the aisle! Bailey looked stunning in a two-piece wedding dress, hand made by her mom, while Caleb was equally dapper in a sage green suit with custom stitching to honor his favorite nickname from Bailey.
The ceremony took place at the Pond under a handmade arbor, with birch trees cut from their family's property in Vermont. Lush flowers donned the arbor and the aisles, styled and designed by Oak and Bee Florals, who was also a dear friend and guest at their wedding.
Their ceremony was beautiful and intimate, with bright sunlight, personalized vows, and a few jokes here and there for the happy couple. After the ceremony, the couple enjoyed a moment alone before meeting with Bailey's graduating 8th graders for a group photo with their own signature sunflowers.
The reception was a feast for the senses, with a canoe filled with drinks, pizzas slung by local favorite Woodbelly Catering, and more stunning floral designs. The couple shared their first dance to an acoustic version of "Simply The Best" a nod to their favorite TV show and performed by one of their close friends.
After dinner was over, the couple changed into their preferred Birkinstock shoes and danced the night away--with contra dancing kicking off the dance floor and creating a fun and memorable moment for them and their guests.
Congratulations Bailey and Caleb, on your beautiful Vermont Summer wedding. Wishing you endless happiness and love in your journey together!
