Witchy Friday the 13th Wedding | October 13th, 2023
Sofia and Cameron, hailing from South Carolina, ventured to Vermont for a celebration like no other. Bucking tradition, they crafted a day that reflected their love for uniqueness and whimsy. Their vision for the day found them the perfect DIY wedding venue at Camp Twin Hills in Richmond, Vermont. Each detail of their day was crafted intentionally to align with their love of fantasy and lore - from a hand-fasting ceremony surrounded by their loved ones, to sparkling alcoholic potion bottles scattered around the reception for guests to find and drink. One of the most memorable parts of the day was their dual processional to the altar, led by their bridal parties and their flower children to meet under towering trees decorated with shades of orange and yellow at the height of Vermont fall.

Witchy Friday the 13th Wedding | The Story
The day began with Sofia and her bridal party getting ready at the Pixie Cabin at Camp Twin Hills in Richmond, Vermont. Each bridal party member donned green dresses from the ethereal fantasy clothing line, Holy Clothing. As the autumn leaves painted Vermont in hues of gold and crimson, Sofia donned an embroidered gown featuring delicate flowers and vines from Flora and Lane. Meanwhile, Cameron paid homage to his family's heritage in a traditional Scottish full kilt.
The couple urged their guests to step into the extraordinary by dressing in costumes of their choice. With many friends familiar with Ren Faires, the air was filled with a sense of magic and fantasy. Together, Sofia and Cameron embarked on a dual processional under the canopy of two magnificent trees, embracing the peak of fall in Vermont. The ceremony was nothing short of enchanting, surrounded by the beauty of nature. The couple exchanged vows, promising a lifetime of love and laughter, while the leaves rustled in approval. Sofia and Cameron tied the knot with a hand-fasting ceremony, bonding themselves together for eternity.
Sofia--a theater director and actress, designed the entire reception experience to rival that of "Bilbo's Birthday Party." The reception unfolded with a Taco truck by Trail Break Taps + Tacos, a delightful surprise for the taste buds. A bonfire warmed the evening, casting a flickering glow on the smiling faces of family and friends. To add a touch of magic, bottled alcoholic potions were cleverly hidden for guests to discover, creating an element of mystery and excitement.
The festivities were underscored by the infectious rhythm of music, inspiring everyone to hit the dance floor. Laughter, joy, and the crackling of the bonfire blended into a symphony of celebration, making it a night to remember.
Sofia and Cameron's Vermont celebration was a perfect blend of unconventional charm and heartfelt moments. It wasn't just a wedding; it was a magical journey into the extraordinary, proving that love knows no bounds.
For those seeking non-traditional wedding inspiration, Vermont awaits with its picturesque landscapes and a canvas for crafting your own whimsical tale.
Congratulations Sofia and Cameron! Cheers to love, laughter, and happily ever after.
